The blue sky has two narrow strips of clouds while another thick sea of clouds covered the peaks of mountains that make up the range. The view was simply astonishing. The mountains were truly green and it made me happy somehow because I advocate for the preservation of our natural resources, indeed our mountains are our natural resources. Focusing my eyes to a closer scale, I saw 5 huge white letters L-A-O-A-G. It caught my attention.
It made my presence in Laoag City to be emphasized because of that 5 big letters that form one proper noun. The first thing that came into my mind is Hollywood.
I never visited Hollywood but I am aware that there is also a H-O-L-L-Y-W-O-O-D in Hollywood.
Nah, yeah. This is a simple thought, a simple post -- highlighting the simple things I see on the road.
It was worth the effort of making it because as you traverse the Gilbert Bridge while entering Laoag, this ala Hollywood signage is very distinct before your eyes.

It's white color was catchy before my eyes' photoreceptor and it looked so cheerful (OA). ^.^
In front of these huge letters is the Laoag River that separates Laoag from the booming town of San Nicolas, also in Ilocos Norte.
If you are commuting on a bus, the view is only valid for 2 minutes and if your bus is slower, 3 minutes may do. The reason for this is that you can no longer see this signage if you have already traversed the Gilbert Bridge so you have to keep your eyes outside the bus to see this (if you care). For me, I care about things like this.
I am not actually totally focused to the main stream attractions of places but I try to observe, meticulously explore and discover something new in a new place that others may have not seen or known yet in an impulsive way.
This is just one of the things that other people may consider corny or simple but have big meaning and attention to me :-)
