"This sunset I am seeing brings back good memories of dreams and how the simple dreams were fulfilled. Owning a digital camera to capture the sunset was just a fantasy when I was still a student but became a reality later on. This sunset is making me remember that dream."

Waiting until the sun will submerge itself in the horizon as we are faced to the west, patience is a must. Never mind if we will go home late. It will cost as a 40-minute slowly-but-surely-driving since the highway would be too dangerous to take considering the dark has started consuming the guiding power of the light.

We waited for the sunset at the panoramic Sulvec Bay in the town of Narvacan in Ilocos Sur.

Narvacan is another coastal municipality in Ilocos Sur that is known for its famous rocky beach that is being compared to the beaches of Monterey, California.

The name of the barangay we were situated this time is also called Sulvec and we are facing the Sulvec Beach of the Sulvec Bay. The waters started to stay calm as  the air also calms itself off the coast. The rocky beach triggers some sentiments.

The grotto at the middle of the bay which is located several hundred meters away from the beach line brings peace to the ambiance this moment.

As the waves turn to wavelets that gush themselves to the rocks of different sizes, the urge to see the sunset is slowly being alleviated with satisfaction and fulfillment.

I have attempted to capture a sunset in Sulvec Bay ever since I was a child but fate did not grant me such desire. Those times, I still didn't have a camera until 2010 came when I first handed my first ever digital camera  (second hand) which was acquired from my first ever work at the age of 21 being a staff nurse.

This sunset I am seeing brings back good memories of dreams and how the simple dreams were fulfilled. Owning a digital camera to capture the sunset was just a fantasy when I was still a student but became a reality later on. This sunset is making me remember that dream. Should I wish to share my photos, I go to the computer shop after every work to upload them on my Friendster and Facebook accounts those days to share how beautiful the world is - I started the hobby without having my own personal computer.

Now that I am already able and capable of capturing the sunsets, I am making the most of my time doing it, now that I am still able and capable of doing so.

The passion may arise but the strength may perish. Now that I still have the strength, I take time to do this. And to the next sunset that I will capture, I am excited what good memories it will make me recall.
